On Sunday, about 1,000 people explored, played in and enjoyed the new Early Learning Center at the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, 311 E. Main St.
The museum was one of the local attractions participating in the Be a Tourist in Your Own Hometown event.
The Early Learning Center is designed to encourage young children up to age 8 to discover the world of art, the museum announced last week. It replaces the former Learning Center, which was designed for youngsters of all ages.
In the new center, young children can enjoy play activities in the topic areas of Draw, Build and Read.
