Saint Francis soccer player receives all-American honorable mention

Jones scored 12 goals this year for Cougars

University of Saint Francis sophomore Heather Jones has been named to the 2013 NAIA Women's Soccer All-America team the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced late Thursday.

Jones, a 5-foot-7 forward from Seymour, was an honorable mention selection after she helped lead the Lady Cougars to a 12-7 overall finish, 6-3 for third place in the Crossroads League. Jones scored 12 goals for USF, three game-winning goals, and had five multi-goal games.

Jones, who was a first-team All-Crossroads League selection, finished third in overall in the league goals scored race and tied for fifth in points with 25. Jones has scored 24 goals in 39 games played in her first two seasons with USF. She is tied for ninth on the USF goals scored list and with 10 game-winning goals in two season, Jones is tied for fifth on that list.
