The owners of Camp Timber Lake announced they plan in April to open an attraction offering a zipline tour through the tree canopy at the camp's 62-acre property at 1740 E. Huntington County Road 675N. The location is about 2 miles north of U.S. 24 between Roanoke and Huntington
The zip line course would be the first of its kind in northeast Indiana and take about two hours or more to complete, a news release said. One of the zip lines will carry people 1,000 feet across the campground's lake.
Camp Timber Lake also offers a year-round campground with RV, modern and rustic campsites, three cabins, a stocked lake, swimming beach, and boat rentals, the news release said. The zip line will be open to camping guests as well as the general public.
