“The Queen Latifah Show,” the freshman syndicated talker from Sony Pictures Television, has been renewed for a second season.

At a time when just about everyone is entering the daytime talk show arena, the offering featuring the singer-actress has managed to hold its own amid the competitive clutter. It debuted last September to a strong 1.7 rating – putting it just behind Katie Couric’s talk show (which will end its run this summer after two seasons) as the top talker entry since “Dr. Oz” in 2009. So far, it remains the No. 1 new talk show, beating out “Real Housewives” alum Bethenny Frankel.

‘SNL’ taps hosts

Actor-singer Drake and actor Jonah Hill are dropping by “Saturday Night Live” this month, NBC says in a news release.

Drake will be the host and musical guest in an appearance announced last month.

“The Wolf of Wall Street” star Hill will take his third turn as host Jan. 25. He will be joined by the U.K. band Bastille, according to the news release.

Tomlin weds

Lily Tomlin has married her partner of 42 years, the comedian’s spokesperson told People magazine Tuesday.

The actress, 74, wed Jane Wagner, 78, on New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles. The pair have collaborated on many works, including Tomlin’s Tony-winning one-woman show.

Man of the year

Macklemore is The Source’s man of the year.

The Seattle rapper was among the most-played artists of 2013, partnering with producer Ryan Lewis on hits such as “Thrift Shop,” “Can’t Hold Us” and “Same Love” and earning seven Grammy nominations.

Macklemore discusses his hip-hop credentials, the Grammys, the role of race in his pop success and worrying over Kanye’s opinion in an interview with the magazine out Tuesday.

Even though he’s also nominated for best rap album at the Grammy Awards, Macklemore says Kendrick Lamar should win. Previous man of the year winners include Rick Ross and 2 Chainz.
