Fort Wayne police were involved in a standoff late Saturday in the 3500 block of Bowser Avenue.

Police said a man was the victim of an armed robbery in the 3300 block of Bowser about 8:30 p.m. Saturday. After four people approached him, one of them displayed a handgun and demanded the victimís personal belongings, according to a police statement.

The four robbers fled south on Bowser Avenue on foot with the victimís wallet and cellphone.

Police found footprints leading to a house in the 3500 block of Bowser, though it wasnít known whether those footprints were related to the robbery.

Several police cars had one block of Bowser blocked off Saturday night, trying to get anyone who might be inside to come out.

The people inside the home refused to open the door or leave the residence, according to a police statement.

The four, all male juveniles, eventually complied with verbal commands and exited the home about 12:30 a.m. and were detained without incident, according to the Fort Wayne Police Department.

After being interviewed by detectives, the four were taken to the Allen County Juvenile Justice Center and each was charged with one count of armed robbery, police said. Their names were not released.
