WINONA LAKE – The top-ranked University of Saint Francis women’s basketball team remained unbeaten, but not without a scare from unranked Grace College.

Saint Francis beat Grace 66-63 on Saturday at the Orthopaedic Center.

Saint Francis, ranked No.1 in the NAIA, improved to 26-0 (14-0 Crossroads League). Saint Francis’ 26 straight wins is a school record. Grace fell to 13-13 (9-5 CL).

Brooke Ridley led Saint Francis with 24 points, Janelle Wilson scored 12 and Kalah Baer had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds. Grace was led by Juaneice Jackson with 21 and Allison Kauffman with 16.

Saint Francis returns to action at Spring Arbor on Wednesday.
