Moderate to heavy snow is going to complicate the drive home Monday evening, the National Weather Service warned.

Total snow accumulations expected through the day Monday and overnight are 2-5 inches along and south of a line from Monticello to Fort Wayne, where the snow may also mix with sleet. Northwest of U.S. 24, 4-6 inches is expected, the weather service said.

A high near 27 is expected today, with a low around 22 Monday night.

Another 2.5 inches of snow this month will tie the record for snowiest winter in Fort Wayne, set in 1981-1982. The weather service defines its winter for record-keeping as December, January and February.

The weather service reports 55.8 inches of snow have fallen so far this winter at Fort Wayne International Airport. So far in February, 15.6 inches have been recorded.
