With this year’s harsh winter, which has left mounds of snow in its wake, it’s hard to think ahead to summer. Oh, wait a minute. It’s actually pretty easy to think about warmer weather and opportunities to get outside and do something besides shovel snow.

With that in mind, it’s time to start planning for summer camps.

We offer a list of submitted area camps and information about each. Some camps offer weeklong or day camps for a variety of interests.

Science/math and nature camps

Camp Red Cedar

What: Specialty camps for children with autism, Down syndrome and diabetes and those without disabilities

What: Create your own 3-D movies and video games with Alice software. ACT II class for returning campers focuses on designing and constructing animation or video games using advanced features.
