Update: After dropping a 129-128 game at Iowa on Thursday, the Mad Ants have still won 11 of their last 14 games. They remain No.2 behind Rio Grande Valley in the overall D-League playoff picture and lead the East Division with six regular-season games left…Ants guard Trey McKinney-Jones might be the most efficient shooter in the league. He has averaged his season level of 15.4 points per game the last five games, but is taking only 9.4 shots per game (he has hit 28 of 48 for 58.3 percent from the field in that stretch). …Because of coach Conner Henry's preference on player rotation, the Mad Ants have some of the most explosive offensive players coming off the bench. Among those who open the game watching, Tony Mitchell averages 19.9 points per game, Jamaal Franklin 17.1 points per game and Tim Ohlbrecht 12.1 points per game. …Austin is led by Ronald Murray at 21.1 points per game and 6-foot-11 center Dexter Pittman can be a force in the middle, averaging 11 points and 6.8 rebounds per game. …
Ants coach Conner Henry: “Austin right now has a little bit of a different lineup (to earlier in the year). They've very good at home. They will zone you a lot and run out of the zone. They're going to play a little bit of a different style. And they also play a great offensive style because they do the (parent club San Antonio) Spurs. Their ability to move the ball in the Spurs system is really nice.”
