Two water main breaks on the west side of Fort Wayne have been fixed, city officials announced shortly before 5 p.m. Sunday.

The breaks restricted traffic in the Getz and Illinois Road area earlier Sunday.

City Utilities crews repaired a break in a 16-inch main in the 6300 block of Illinois Road and a second break in the 1600 block of Getz Road.

One lane of westbound Illinois/Indiana 14 was closed from Getz to the Interstate 69 on-ramp. Motorists will have access to the I-69 on ramp.

On Getz, the northbound lane was closed during the repair period. During the repair, residences and businesses near the area had their water service interrupted.

City officials said they do not know when the repairs will be complete.
