Summer events

We are seeking submissions for our Summer Events Guide, listing activities from May 25 to Aug. 31. The guide includes festivals in Indiana and Ohio, stage performances and art exhibits.

Bruce Springsteen, Stevie Nicks, Carrie Underwood, Chris Martin: The stars are turning out to salute the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees.

The hall of fame announced Tuesday that “The Boss” will fittingly induct and perform with his loyal E Street Band, while a superstar lineup of Nicks, Underwood, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris and Sheryl Crow will perform for Linda Ronstadt. Glenn Frey will induct the singer.

Michael Stipe of R.E.M. will induct Nirvana, Coldplay’s Martin will induct Peter Gabriel, Tom Morello handles those duties for KISS, and Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson will induct fellow Philadelphians Hall and Oates.

Inductees Daryl Hall and John Oates, Gabriel and Cat Stevens will perform during the April 10 ceremony, which will be televised May 31 on HBO.

Resuming tour

The Rolling Stones are resuming a world tour after postponing several dates in the wake of the death of L’Wren Scott, girlfriend of singer Mick Jagger.

The band has announced new shows in Europe, starting May 26 in Oslo, Norway.

Scott, 49, had been Jagger’s companion since 2001.

Concerts postponed

Kanye West has postponed his tour of Australia so he can concentrate on new music.

West announced Tuesday that he’ll postpone seven dates in five cities because of “unexpected timing requirements” to finish his new album, expected to be released this year.
