Perry Hill students jump for heart fundraising

More than 400 students at Perry Hill Elementary School took turns Wednesday jumping rope and spinning hoops to raise money for the American Heart Association. During the Jump Rope for Heart event, students of one grade at a time took packed the the school's gymnasium and skipped rope or spun hoops singly or in groups. Physical education teacher Alan Bodenstein, who organized the event, said he expected to raise $4,000-$4,500 in pledges and donations during Jump Rope for Heart at Perry Hill.
