Tickets for Zoo Brew & Wine Too went on sale at 10 a.m. today.

This after-hours fundraiser for adults only will be 6-9 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Fort Wayne Children's Zoo with a VIP event 5-6 p.m.

Zoo Brew & Wine Too features craft beers, wines and local food from more than 60 vendors. Tickets include unlimited sampling of foods from more than 25 restaurants and unlimited sampling of dozens of beverages, including beer, wine and hard cider. Live music by James & the Drifters, Sugar Shot, Night to Remember, and Joe Justice will be featured on three stages. Zoo animals and exhibits will provide a unique backdrop for the event. Each attendee will receive a souvenir pilsner glass.

Tickets for Zoo Brew & Wine Too, presented by Chase Bank, cost $50 in advance and $60 at the gate. VIP tickets allow exclusive early access to the event at 5 p.m. and cost $100 in advance. Designated Driver tickets cost $30 in advance and $40 at the door. Designated Drivers will wear a special wristband to receive food and soda and will not receive any alcoholic beverages at the event.

Attendees are not required to have a designated driver but are encouraged to plan for safe traveling after the event. Attendees (including Designated Drivers) must be 21 or older. All attendees must present a valid ID and will be carded at the gate. Only 2,000 tickets will be sold for the event.

New bar and grill at Coyote Creek

Coyote Creek Golf Club, 4935 Hillegas Road, has opened a new clubhouse. The facility includes the Lodge at Coyote Creek, a new full-service bar and grill open to the public that is operated by the owners of Rack & Helen's restaurant in New Haven and managed by Wes Anderson.

The new facility also has a covered outdoor dining area and large banquet room; a new 2,000-square-foot Pro Shop; new locker rooms for women and men, including a pool table and a card room; conference room facilities for corporate members; and a new 7,250-square-foot putting green.

Fundraiser for Shepherd’s House

Shepherd's House, a 42-bed, long-term residential/transitional housing center for homeless veterans struggling with addictions, in conjunction with the Freedom Riders, is having a bike run fundraiser June 15 at Quaker Steak and Lube, 407 Coliseum Blvd. W. The ride starts at 2 p.m., and Guild of Rock plays at 4 p.m. at the afterparty at the Lube. June 15 is Father's Day, so bring Dad in anytime noon-6 p.m. and 20 percent of your bill will be donated to Shepherd's House.

Market celebrates with samples
