INDIANAPOLIS -- The News-Sentinel sports staff is spending the week covering the happenings of the annual adidas Invitational, which features many of the top prep basketball players in the country.

We will be compiling a number of the athletes. Here is another in a series:

6-3, point guard

Brownsburg High School

Considering: Purdue, Indiana, Clemson, Butler, Tennessee

Offers: Illinois State, Minnesota, Xavier

Pete's take: This versatile guard, who is ranked No. 98 in the Class of 2015 by, runs the UA Grind 2015 show, as he should. He can sometimes be a little too aggressive, and can get locked into driving to the basket -- and into trouble -- rather than passing, but that will come.

He's very aggressive with his perimeter defense. He isn't afraid to get into a guy's face. He has quick hands and can effectively jump the passing lanes. He's very confident in his ability to get to the rim, so much that he sometimes misses the simple pass, but you have to appreciate his toughness.

Why he likes Minnesota: "It's a great school. It has a great coach. Coach (Richard) Pitino is good. I have a great relationship with him. It's the Big Ten. I want to play at the highest level. Minnesota is a great one.

What Xavier has to do to land him: "They were the first team to offer me. I have a great relationship with the coaching staff. They are a guard-oriented team. I like that."

Thoughts on Illinois State: "I don't know much about them. I'm learning about them. I know they're a great school for guards."
