TODAY

COUNTRY CONCERT: The Three Rivers Festival serves up a night of country music with headline act American Young playing in the Festival Plaza at Headwaters Park, Clinton and Superior streets. Local performers scheduled to open the show are Chuck Wicks, Hubie Ashcraft and Brothers Osborne.

The music should get started about 7 p.m.; gates open at 6 p.m.

American Young consists of Kristy Osmunson, formerly of country group Bomshel, and songwriter and music producer Jon Stone. They have won some play on country radio stations with their debut single, “Love is War,” which they released late last year.

Tickets are $8 at the door. Save $3 with a 2014 TRF button.

FRIDAY

ALL THAT JAZZ: Enjoy an evening of vocal jazz as the five-voice Heartland Jazz Quintet performs with a jazz combo during a Plymouth Summer Music Series Concert at 7 p.m. at Plymouth Congregational Church, 501 W. Berry St.

They will perform a variety of music including vocal jazz standards, songs currently on the radio and a few selections with re-imagined arrangements, a news release said. The singers all are members of the larger Heartland Chamber Chorale.

Admission is free, but a free-will offering will be taken. For information, call 436-8080 or go to www.heartlandchorale.org.

KING OF POP: Enjoy the hits of one of pop music's biggest stars as Who's Bad: The Ultimate Michael Jackson Tribute Band returns to the Three Rivers Festival stage about 7 p.m. in Festival Plaza at Headwaters Park, Clinton and Superior streets.

Area bands Touch and Trackless will open the show. Gates open at 6 p.m.

This is Who's Bad's 10th year, and it is they are celebrating with an all-new show, the festival said.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $13 the day of the show; ages 12 and younger are free with a paying adult. Tickets are available in advance at the Three Rivers Festival office at 102 Three Rivers North, www.threeriversfestival.org and at www.ticketmaster.com.

SATURDAY

GO WITH THE FLOW: Grab a seat along the shore or on one of the bridges for the Three Rivers Festival's Hotel Fitness Raft Race noon-5 p.m. on the St. Marys River between Swinney Park and the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Bridge at Headwaters Park.

Barring any unexpected problems with river levels or water quality, this will be the second year for the event after a long break. Organizers expect hundreds of rafts this year as crews just have fun or compete for $14,000 in prize money. Admission is free for spectators. Race entrants had to register by last Friday.

WHAT A BLAST: Close out the Three Rivers Festival with the annual Fireworks Finale at 10 p.m., shot from the top of One Summit Square in downtown Fort Wayne.

The Fort Wayne Area Community Band will perform in Freimann Square before the fireworks. At 10 p.m., you can tune to local radio station WMEE, 97.3-FM, to listen to music designed to go along with the fireworks display.

For more information, call 426-5556.
