Man hit with soda bottle during robbery

A man was hit in the head with a soda bottle and robbed in the parking lot of a local theater Friday, according to Fort Wayne Police.

According to a report from the Fort Wayne Police Department, when the officer arrived after the 2:09 p.m. incident, he made contact with a man who told him he had gone to the theater to meet a girl he had met on Facebook. He parked his car in the west part of the parking lot and saw the woman at the front of the theater.

The woman walked to his car and asked to smoke in it and then she sat in the passenger seat. The woman told him she was homeless and that she had been kicked out of her mother's house. Suddenly the man was hit by a bottle on the left side of his face. He said he blacked out for a second and then climbed out the passenger door and started to run through the parking lot toward some semi trucks, according to the report.

He said that a man who had hit him with the bottle then chased him. The man chasing the victim had said he was from Chicago and that was his girl. The attacker then ran to the victim's car and grabbed his cell phone and car keys. The victim ran into the theater and called police. A clear-glass soda bottle was found on the front seat of the man's car, according to the report.

Man charged with rape

A Fort Wayne man was charged Monday in Allen Superior Court with raping a 15-year-old girl.

Paris R. Patmon II, 29, of Fox Point Trail is accused of luring the victim in early July to a basement where he made the girl undress and then undressed himself. After pinning her to a chair, he sexually assaulted her and attempted to rape her. She was able to escape and returned to her apartment, according to a probable cause affidavit.

Patmon also is accused of luring the same victim on or about July 13 to a main hallway, where he grabbed the victim by the arm, shoved her against the wall and forced her to submit to sexual conduct.

The victim then reported the crimes to Fort Wayne Police, and Patmon turned himself in to authorities on July 15.

Patmon faces two counts of rape and one count of attempted rape, all Level 3 felonies; two counts of sexual misconduct with a minor and one count of attempted sexual misconduct with a minor, all Level 4 felonies; as well as another count of sexual misconduct with a minor, which is a Level 5 felony.
