Turner stays hot as TinCaps win

Trea Turner and Franmil Reyes each cracked three hits as the Fort Wayne TinCaps defeated the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 8-4 on Saturday night before 7,570 fans at Parkview Field.

Turner improved his batting average to .479 as a TinCap going 3-for-4 with two runs and two driven in. Reyes hit a double and a home run and drove in two run.s Ronnie Richardson also drove in two runs as Fort Wayne hitters combined for 14 hits and led 6-1 after four innings.

Starter Jeffrey Enloe improved to 3-3 with the win for Fort Wayne, giving up one run and six hits over six innings. Erik Cabrera and Ryan Butler cleaned up from the bullpen.

Wisconsin starter Barrett Astin got the loss after giving up six runs on nine hits in four innings.

The teams meet again at 1:05 p.m. Sunday and 7:05 p.m. Monday.
