A 39-year-old Garrett man was killed Friday morning when the motorcycle he was riding crashed into the side of a tanker truck in Noble County.
Indiana State Police, who are investigating the crash, said Merlin Isaac Jr. was pronounced dead at the scene of the 10 a.m. crash. Preliminary investigation indicates that the truck was headed north on Noble County Road 600 East when it stopped at the intersection with Baseline Road.
The truck proceeded into the intersection as an eastbound 2009 Harley Davidson ridden by Isaac crested the hill immediately to the west. Isaac's motorcycle struck the truck broadside. The driver of the truck was not injured.
