Self-proclaimed spice-dealing leader sought

Police are asking for the publicís help in finding a man who proclaimed himself the highest-level synthetic marijuana dealer in New Haven and the second-most important dealer of the drug in Fort Wayne.

Brandon K. McBride, 28, of New Haven, made it known to police several times during his interview just how high up he is when it comes to selling synthetic marijuana, commonly referred to as spice, according to a probable cause affidavit.

He has a warrant for his arrest for two counts of dealing a synthetic drug, one count of maintaining a common nuisance and three counts of driving as a habitual traffic violator, all felonies.

He also faces one misdemeanor charge each of dealing a synthetic drug, marijuana possession and paraphernalia possession, according to charging information filed.

The Allen County Drug Task Force worked the case against McBride, which included several recorded sales of spice to an informant.
