Woman robbed in her home

A woman told Fort Wayne Police early Friday that she was robbed in her home in the 1400 block of Michigan Avenue at about 1:30 a.m. She reported that she had taken her trash out and, when she returned inside, she was confronted by a man holding a small handgun. He asked her for her money; she told him that she had none.

He ordered her to go into her bedroom, and he made her lie face-down. She heard him open a few drawers and doors, then leave. When she looked around her house, she found that he had taken her phone and a purse. She thought there was nothing valuable in the purse, she told police, but because she was left without a phone, she had to drive to a friend's home to report the robbery.

She described the robber as a light-skinned black man, average height, with a puffy Afro hairstyle and about 20 years old.

Walgreens robbed of cash, prescription drugs

A bicycle-riding robber took about $60-$80 from a cash register and prescription drugs from Walgreens, 10412 Coldwater Road, in a robbery at about 1:40 a.m. Friday, Fort Wayne Police reported.

Employees said the man demanded cash and drugs from the pharmacist and told him that he had a gun. He left and was seen on surveillance video pedaling off on a bicycle while carrying a white pillowcase. The suspect was described as a male black, wearing a white t-shirt, a white ball cap, black pants with cargo pockets, white gloves and some kind of paint on his face.

Rifle stolen in burglary

A woman told Fort Wayne Police Thursday that her home, located on Wawonaissa Trail, had been broken into sometime between 10 a.m. and 3:23 p.m. She returned home and found that the bottom half of a porch door had been smashed in and a Winchester rifle had been stolen.

Televisions, computer and game unit taken in break-in

A break-in in the 400 block of East Suttenfield St. during the day Thursday resulted in the loss of television and other electronic equipment.

A resident of the apartment came home at about 3 p.m. Thursday and discovered that the home had been broken into and a 32-inch and 40-inch televisions were taken, along with a computer tablet and an Xbox, Fort Wayne Police reported. Police collected fingerprints at the scene as evidence.

Two men injured in cargo van crash on I-69 Sunday

Two men were injured when the 26 foot rental truck, a white colored 2014 Freightliner Cargo Van, they had used to move residential items for a friend ran off I-69 at the 333 mile marker near Waterloo around 12:00 p.m. Sunday.

The driver, Jeffery A. Bair, 30,of Indianapolis, told police that he "blacked out" or "had a seizure" when he ran off the east side of the road where the truck then rolled and came to a stop spilling its cargo onto the ground. A passenger inside the truck, Dustin Wayne Davis, 23, was ejected from the passenger side of cab. Both men received cuts and scrapes over their bodies and were assisted by person's passing by until emergency crews arrived on the scene. Both men were transported from the scene by DeKalb EMS to a Fort Wayne area hospital where they received further treatment.

Collectibles, computer, TV taken in burglary

A man who lives in the 7500 block of Wohoma Drive told Fort Wayne Police Thursday that his home had been burglarized sometime between 10 a.m. and 3:15 p.m. He reported that he lost a flatscreen television, a laptop computer, a silver metal box containing personal documents, three small gold coins and a 10-ounce silver bar.
