“The Miracle Girl,” a second novel by Middlebury resident Wilma Hochstetler, has been released by Dorrance Publishing and is available at www.dorrancebookstore.com.

Book sale

A used book sale takes place 8 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Sept. 9-11 and Oct. 14-16 at the Fort Wayne Parks & Recreation Community Center, 233 W. Main St.

Committee to present project in D.C.

Get on Board, a committee of the Paul Clarke Nonprofit Resource Center at the Allen County Public Library, was selected to present its project for addressing emerging leader board training, recruitment and retention needs at the annual BoardSource 'Board Leadership Forum' conference, which will be held Oct. 9-10 in Washington, D.C.

Adult book group

The adult book group meets at 2 p.m. Sept. 24 at Aboite branch library, 5630 Coventry Lane. Book title is “A Long Way Gone” by Ishmael Beah.

Books-n-Bagels

High school home-schoolers will meet at 10 a.m. Sept. 12 to discuss a book of the month at the Allen County Public Library, 900 Library Plaza. This month's book is “Between Shades of Gray” by Ruta Sepetys.
