INDIANAPOLIS — State police are asking for help in finding the driver who struck and killed a man while he was putting gasoline into a pickup truck parked along Interstate 70 in downtown Indianapolis.

Police say 29-year-old Andy Richmond of Indianapolis was fatally struck Monday evening and pronounced dead at the scene. Sgt. Rich Myers says police were called by some who saw Richmond's body on the pavement and that investigators didn't immediately have any witnesses to him being hit by a vehicle that didn't stop.

Myers says Richmond's truck was parked off the travel lanes although its gas receptacle was on the side closest to traffic.
