Here are two opportunities to party for a cause, two days in a row:
♦The 12th annual Auburn Cord Duesenberg Automobile Museum wine-tasting event will be 7-9 p.m. Friday at the museum, 1600 S. Wayne St., Auburn. This year, a chocolate-tasting has been added to the fundraiser. Area restaurants and caterers will provide food samples.
Jeff Armstrong from WineTime has selected more than 80 wines to sample. WineTime will donate $1 from every bottle purchased that night to the museum's educational programs.
A jazz trio will play as patrons tour the museum galleries and the Museum Store.
Tickets are $35 and can be bought at the door or by calling 1-260-925-1444 in advance.
♦The Paws and Claws Gala is a fundraiser that benefits the Allen County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
Enjoy wine, beer and dessert tasting, musical entertainment from Ty Causey, auctions, and other events. All proceeds will benefit the nonprofit dog and cat shelter.
The event is 7-10 p.m. Saturday at the Scottish Rite Center Ballroom, 431 W. Berry St., and costs $40 per person, $75 per couple or $250 for a table of eight. Price at the door will be $50 per person.

A reader e-mailed to say she has a tiramisu recipe she would like to try, but it calls for ladyfingers, and she can't find anywhere to buy them locally. If anyone knows where to buy ladyfingers, contact me via any of the methods listed at the end of this column.
