Man admits to sex with 10-year-old girl

A city man faces multiple child molestation and other felony charges after police say he carried on a sexual relationship with the 10-year-old daughter of his girlfriend.

Christopher D. Ramirez, 34, of the 400 block of Greenwood Avenue, faces four counts of child molesting (3 Class A and 1 Class C), Class C child exploitation and Class D dissemination of matter harmful to minors.

According to Ramirez's probable-cause affidavit, a joint effort of the FBI and the Fort Wayne Police Department in June discovered the young girl was allegedly being molested.

Ramirez met with authorities a week after police learned of the molestations, where he admitted to having sexual relations with the girl on several occasions, the affidavit said. Ramirez also has shown the girl pornography and taken pornographic photos of her, the affidavit said.

Ramirez is awaiting a federal trial on similar charges after a grand jury indicted him in August on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, producing child pornography and possessing child pornography.

A 41-year-old man has been charged with three Class C felony child molesting counts and other felonies after police say he fondled two 11-year-old girls as they slept at his home.

Scott G. Herrmann also faces two Class D felony charges of vicarious sexual gratification from an Oct. 17 incident in which the girls allegedly exposed themselves to Herrmann, who then fondled them and masturbated before them, according to Herrmann's probable-cause affidavit.
