I was at the Northwood post office Sept. 22 making copies of legal papers. I forgot one of my documents on the copier. I called and talked with a man named Mike Coombs. Mike went far beyond his job duties by bringing my papers to me.
A tip of the hat to all the single parents out there. My husband was recently away for one week, and it made me realize how hard raising children alone can be. And I only had to deal with it for one week! Pat yourself on the back because you deserve it.
A tip of the hat to Jim and Jen, who took time to push my old convertible into a parking lot and then went the extra miles to take me home so I didn't have to waste time waiting with the car. There are lots of good things happening because people take time to care. Thanks very much for your kindness.
A special tip of the hat to the very nice man at the last matinee of “Piano Lessons” at (Fort Wayne) Civic Theatre who, when I was getting ready to pay my senior ticket, handed me a free ticket. It's very much appreciated.
