Motorcycle crash victims ID'd as Fort Wayne couple

Two people who died in a motorcycle crash Wednesday have been identified by Allen County authorities as a married couple from Fort Wayne.

James R. Hendrickson Jr., 56, was driving the 2008 Yamaha motorcycle when it collided with a car in the 2700 block of Ardmore Avenue, according to the Allen County Coroner's Office. His wife Mary Catherine Hendrickson, 50, also was riding on the motorcycle.

James Hendrickson was pronounced dead at the scene. Mary Hendrickson was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and later pronounced dead. Neither person was wearing a helmet, according to a statement from the coroner's office.
