NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Even Merle Haggard gets nervous about stepping onto a stage when the audience is filled with songwriters, record label executives and fellow artists.
The Helmholtz sculpture in Freimann Square will undergo more repair work this weekend after Fort Wayne Museum of Art staff noticed the stainless steel disc near the top of the piece had been painted orange accidentally by a subcontractor hired by artist Mark di Suvero to repaint the sculpture. Workers re-installed Helmholtz Sept. 12 after di Suvero repaired damage caused when it was hit by a pickup truck in June 2013. (By Kevin Kilbane of The News-Sentinel)
