An all women team from UAW Local 2209 did outdoor landscaping, painting and staining for Cedars HOPE at 527 W Berry St. Danelle Hoffman, team leader for the UAW Local 2209, said they have participated in the Day of Caring since it started 23 years ago.  Hoffman was busy moving landscaping bricks as the women built an edge wall in the front yard of Cedar Hope. Part of the team was also working in the back of the house landscaping and painting. More than 1,250 volunteers participated in the 23rd annual United Way Day of Caring on Thursday. Nearly 80 community service projects in the Fort Wayne area, 10 of which are homes provided through NeighborLink, were completed by nearly 75 volunteer teams.
