WASHINGTON – Iraq is about to become an unusual common ground for the presidential campaigns, despite its divisiveness as a campaign issue. Sons of both vice presidential nominees are expected to arrive there soon to join the fighting.

A tip of the hat to the nicely dressed older gentleman who was walking near the corner of St. Marys Avenue and West State Boulevard the afternoon of Aug. 6, picking up litter as he walked. If more folks would take the time and care to do that, we would live in an exceptionally clean city.
