Ian Tipton of the Fort Wayne street department was hard at work with the leaf collection Thursday morning at Sakaden Parkway near Wallen Road on Fort Wayne's northwest side. 

Leaves will be collected in two ways this year. Residents can rake the leaves to the curb or park strip to be ready for pickup by 7 a.m. the Monday of their designated week; leaf collection can occur on any day that week. Or residents can put leaves in biodegradable bags at the curb and call 311 to schedule a pickup time. Bagged leaves will be collected within two businesses days of a call to 311.
