Tapestry 2020 rescheduled to August 28
For the past 18 years, Purdue University Fort Wayne has woven together a day of inspiration, renewal and education for women, while also raising scholarship funds for students in its College of Health and Human Sciences.
For Tapestry 2020, the keynote speaker is actress, Global Goodwill UN Ambassador and activist Ashley Judd. In 2017, she was one of the women featured on the cover of Time Magazine’s Person of the Year issue, which recognized The Voices that Launched a Movement and brought the issue of workplace sexual harassment and abuse out from the shadows. In addition to her political activism, Judd has been forthright about her struggles with depression and emotional pain and shared her struggles in her 2011 memoir All That Is Bitter and Sweet. It is through her candor that Judd shares how her understanding of her personal trials have made her an empathic advocate for women around the globe. Tapestry 2020, August 28, $100/person (SOLD OUT), 7:30am-4pm, Allen County War Memorial Coliseum, 4000 Parnell Avenue, pfw.edu/tapestry
