Not all entrepreneurs have business plans that qualify them for a spot in the Northeast Indiana Innovation Center, which has been nurturing new tech businesses for 15 years now.
Matter of fact, NIIC was recently recognized by Entrepreneur magazine as one of the top four under-the-radar incubators in the country. It is the country’s only ISO 9001:2008-registered business incubation and acceleration program, serving entrepreneurs, business owners and existing businesses who want to launch, expand or re-invent a company.
That has changed, and NIIC is extending its reach with the release of its new START! video series, available to all on its website, www.niic.net.
“This is just the beginning of a big extension of our entrepreneurial help toolset,” said Mike Fritsch, NIIC entrepreneur-in-residence. “We are so proud to be able to have created it entirely in-house using local talent and one of our own clients, a video production entrepreneur and featuring resources, entrepreneurs and partners in Northeast Indiana.”
The five-part series (produced by Steven Manning of Manning Video Productions in cooperation with Ivy Tech Community College’s video lab) moves from “So You Want to be an Entrepreneur” through videos about having an idea, deciding
to start a company, wanting to grow and needing money for
your business.
“Making the decision to START is often the highest hurdle of the entrepreneurial journey,” said Karl R. LaPan, Innovation Center president and CEO.
“We want people to be less
afraid and more informed about taking that first step while addressing the barriers and false starts entrepreneurs have in
starting a business.”
