Mox Nix, Fort Wayne singer-songwriter-musician-producer Kevin Hambrick’s newest release, combines Hambrick’s delightful and soulful lyrics with a snappy soundtrack that evokes spring with a hint of the sun-infused pop sounds of the 1960s boy bands (think “Sgt. Pepper’s” by the Beatles). “Sad Tomato” features a prime example: the lyric “Someday you’ll wake up in a forest all alone” is combined with an oompah- oompah bouncing beat that belies the seriousness of the thought.
