Shopping bags and trolley rides
Holly Trolley shopping excursion gets you downtown for your holiday shopping
Are you one of those people where Black Friday is just a warm-up?
One of those shoppers where the day after Thanksgiving is just a little taste, something to whet your appetite for the real serious holiday shopping? Or are you a person that just likes to have a little fun with the whole holiday gift-chasing experience?
Or are you just looking for a little something different?
Saturday will be the seventh annual Holly Trolley Shopping event presented by the Downtown Improvement District.
The event emphasizes small businesses, unique gifts and — a major importance to many — a stress-free environment. Six trolleys will transport people around downtown and the Wells Street and West Main corridors from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., connecting people to local shops and eateries along the way.
This year, the first 200 attendees who get t the Trolley Transfer Station will receive a free Holly Trolley commemorative gift tote from the Downtown Improvement District and Lake City Bank.
So if you’re looking for a stylish top from The Urban Hippie, something crafty from Friends of the Third World or even some grub from places like the Junk Ditch Brewing Company or something from roughly 70 shops and businesses along the way, this is the shopping excursion for you.
Go out and find that unique gift you won’t find anywhere else.
And have fun doing so.
