Russ and Sandy Voorhees Russ and Sandy are celebrating 50 wonderful years together. They were married at the Bethany United Methodist Church in Celina, Ohio on July 14, 1973. They have two daughters: Christy Emrick (Tyler) and Michelle Saxton (Michael) and one son Ryan Voorhees (Michelle). They also have seven grandchildren. Russ was a teacher in Ft. Wayne Community Schools, and Sandy was a teacher with Southwest Allen County Schools. The couple enjoy traveling extensively, with river cruises in Europe, trips to Australia and the Holy Land, and Land Cruise bus trips in the states and Canada. They also enjoy volunteering and spending part of the winter in Florida. They are celebrating with a family dinner.
