Stand Pat

While the weather can’t make up its mind about the Summit City, the Summit City can make up its mind about one thing: Saint Patrick’s Day.

Saint Patrick’s Day is a holiday that most, if not all, people look forward to celebrating. There are many places that open their doors to the public with unique Saint Paddy’s Day offerings.

While some places have rounded up new ideas for ringing in this beloved holiday, some places are standing on tradition. Whereas others are completely switching up how they will celebrate.

2Toms Brewing Company

2Toms will have a special menu on Sunday with corned beef & cabbage and Ruebens, but also the Sloppy Irishman: A banger (sausage) with apple slaw, beer cheese and crispy fried onions on a grinder roll. Three special beers will be released. Music will be provided by Fort Wayne’s SUN.DYLE. 3676 N. Wells Street, 260.446.6246, 2tomsbrewing.com

JK O’Donnell’s team leader Sean McCarthy said, “We’re very excited to have the Pitch open for Saint Patrick’s Day. We will have our heaters out there to keep people warm, multiple games, live music, and of course a bar.”

The Pitch is J.K. O’Donnell’s popular new outdoor space.

J.K. O’Donnell’s, which was known in the past for having a tent outside on the holiday, will transition fully to using the Pitch this year. There will be a cover charge at the door of the pub.
