Signature Dish – The Friendly Fox
IN WRAPTURED: Since 2010, the current owners of the Southwood Park’s Friendly Fox have not only turned the Fox into one of Fort Wayne’s social hubs – with an excellent pergola for outside dining – it’s also produced fresh, simple, delicious dishes known throughout the city. Now imagine yourself sitting down to a summer meal of Teriyaki Chicken Lettuce Wraps ($8.50). It’s an elegant and unpretentious presentation of sesame Kung Pao chicken, bibb lettuce, pickled cucumbers, cabbage, shredded carrots and served with house peanut sauce. The taste and texture are flavorful and exciting. Cleanse your palate with an iced tea, lemonade, wine or beer and finish off with a couple of their homemade macrons. It’s a bit of heaven in the city. Open Monday through Saturday, 8 am – 9 pm. 4001 S. Wayne Avenue, 260.745.3369, friendlyfox.org
